FALSE. It was just a piece of student art the college didn’t really want and the student had to pay $1000 dollars to keep it there. The college has the check ready to send back to the kid if they ever take it down - but it doesn’t seem like they will be anytime soon.
Or at least, that’s the story I was told and I’m sticking to it.

It’s official – the museum opens two weeks from today! September 6 is the first day of Oberlin College classes, and the first day the AMAM will be open to the public since December 2009. To celebrate, we’ll be posting “then and now” images of the museum and galleries on our Tumblr site every day for the next two weeks!
